RECOGNITION OF THE ACUTELY ILL INFANT OR CHILD

Professional individuals working with infants and young children in day nurseries, pre-schools and playgroups are under intense pressure to provide a high quality service for the children, their parents and the organisation in which they work.

The well-being of the children is paramount and parents understandable have considerable expectations of these care professionals, and therefore the responsibility placed on the staff is immense. Furthermore, increasing governmental expectations of these organisations, together with repeated press coverage of occasional suboptimal child care practices, mean that organisations need to ensure their staff are appropriately supported and trained to offer the best care possible.

Individual staff members need to be able to recognise the sick or unwell child whose condition could deteriorate and know the principles of how to manage them prior to emergency services arriving, or know when to seek additional medical help.

This course will not only help your staff to provide the best care possible for every child in your organisation, but will increase the confidence of the parents, and provide a unique selling point for your day nursery, pre-school or play group.

Each course is interactive and will be run in small groups using a variety of teaching styles and visual aids.
